VIDEO: J.R. Smith proposes with help from his adorable daughter

J.R. Smith might be notorious for being a party hound, but Smith can also be a sweetheart.

Smith appeared to have proposed to the mother of Demi, his daughter, in a video he posted on Instagram. Demi hid the ring behind her back before surprising her mother, who gave Smith a "yes."

There has been no official announcement from Smith himself, but in late July, Smith dropped hints of settling down in another Instagram photo.

It seems that being dealt to Cleveland last season has done wonders for Smith. He told NBA.com's David Aldridge in January that moving from sleepless New York City to the midwest has allowed him to cut distractions out of his life.

I think this is the best situation for me, cause there's nothing but basketball. There's nothing you expect but basketball. There's nothing, there's no going out, there's no late nights. There's video games, basketball and basketball.

It's a great thing, because I go back to where I came from. When I grew up … I wasn't allowed to go out. I missed my prom because I went to an AAU tournament, and all that stuff. For me, it was basketball, basketball, basketball ... so now, I get a chance to get back to my roots.
