Curry sets new playoff shooting records

Kelley L Cox / USA TODAY Sports

Steph Curry has made a habit of etching his name in the record books.

Near the end of the third quarter in Thursday's Game 2 between the Golden State Warriors and Houston Rockets, Chef Curry became the first player in NBA history to record at least five makes from beyond the arc in four consecutive playoff games.

The feat had been accomplished before, but never in the postseason. In the 1996 regular season, George McCloud and Dennis Scott both cashed in from downtown at least five times through four consecutive games. Earlier this season, Wesley Matthews had his turn, while Curry, to no one's surprise, accomplished the feat three different times through March and April.

As if that wasn't enough, with Thursday's impressive outing, Curry also surpassed Ray Allen for the most games with at least five 3-pointers made in a single playoff run.
