Kyrie Irving: (Knee) Says He Could've Returned To Game 6

Irving (knee) said he undoubtedly would've returned to Thursday's Game 6 against the Bulls if the contest had been close, Chris Haynes of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.

Analysis:

Irving left Thursday's game early in the second quarter, and while he was originally listed as probable to return, he never made it back into the contest. LeBron James told Irving that the Cavs would be fine to close out the series without their starting point guard, as Cleveland held a 58-44 lead by halftime. While the injury will be worth monitoring closely in the coming days, it sounds as if Irving expects to be fine for Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. The Wizards play the Hawks in Washington on Friday, hoping to force a Game 7 on Monday.
