Rose takes blame for Bucks' buzzer-beater: 'I put that all on me'

Derrick Rose was doing his best Akon impression after the Chicago Bulls dropped Game 4 to the Milwaukee Bucks on Saturday, putting the blame squarely on himself.

It was Rose's man, Jerryd Bayless, who managed to sneak free underneath the basket for a game-winning, buzzer-beating layup at the end of the fourth quarter. With Jared Dudley inbounding the ball, the Bucks ran action at the top of the three-point line, which appeared to grab Rose's focus, allowing Bayless to bail on his flare to the corner and cut back to the rim.

It's certainly not a good look for Rose, who gave the Bucks an extended life and a chance at a Game 5 in Chicago on Monday.

"I put that all on me," Rose said following the game, while also beating himself up for his eight turnovers. "Just wasn't paying attention to the ball. I feel bad for my teammates knowing we couldn't forced overtime. I messed things up. But I swear I'm built for it."

The Bucks admitted to targeting Rose on the play, with Bayless saying on the broadcast that they thought they could get him over-helping or on a back-door cut. He didn't over-help, but his attention was definitely drawn away from his man.

"I thought Rose relaxed for a second," Bucks head coach Jason Kidd said while giving Dudley credit for a terrific and gutsy pass.

Here's guessing that Rose won't be caught napping if Game 5 comes down to one final play, not that the Bucks won't be looking for it.
