Suns' Knight suffers hip pointer vs. Spurs

Mark J. Rebilas / USA TODAY Sports

It was not the Phoenix Suns' (k)night.

After posting a franchise-low 24 points in the first half against the San Antonio Spurs on Saturday, the Suns lost starting point guard Brandon Knight to a hip pointer. He did not return for the second half.

Knight, who the Suns acquired in a three-team deal at the trade deadline, had averaged 16.8 points and 4.5 assists in four games with the team before Saturday's contest.

In 17 first-half minutes, he had one point and two assists, while shooting 0-of-6 from the field.

The Suns' offense rebounded some, but they lost 101-74.
