Dwyane Wade returns Friday from hamstring injury

Adam Hunger-USA TODAY Sports

Miami Heat shooting guard Dwyane Wade made his return from a hamstring injury Friday against the New York Knicks.

Wade missed the last seven contests after sustaining the injury late in January, while also missing the All-Star Game.

Prior to the game Friday, Wade was spotted wearing a breathing device during pre-game shootaround.

Injuries aside, Wade has logged a strong season thus far, averaging 21.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 5.4 assists in 32.3 minutes. Wade's health becomes all the more important with the news of forward Chris Bosh potentially missing the remainder of the season with blood clots in his lungs.
