Sixers shooting guard Jason Richardson returns after 2-year absence

For the first time since January 2013, Philadelphia 76ers shooting guard Jason Richardson will play Friday, reports Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer.

Richardson suffered a foot fracture two years ago and has toiled through a long and arduous recovery process to return to the court.

The 34-year-old is still the team's longest tenured player. However, through a series of rebuilding efforts, not a single teammate from 2012-13 remains with the Sixers. Players like Spencer Hawes, Jrue Holiday and Evan Turner have all been traded away for prospects and draft picks.

When he last played, Richardson averaged 10.5 points and 3.8 rebounds while shooting 34.1 percent on 3-pointers.
