Rajon Rondo: (Face) Ruled Out Until All-Star Break

Rondo (face) has been ruled out of the Mavericks' next three games, which will prevent him from returning before the upcoming All-Star break.

Analysis:

Rondo has already missed Dallas' past three games after suffering an orbital fracture and a broken nose last Saturday. Now with surgery potentially on the horizon, Rondo currently has no timetable for his return. Nonetheless, given Friday's news of another three-game absence, Rondo will be out of commission until at least Feb. 19, which marks the Mavericks' first game following next weekend's All-Star break. Until then, J.J. Barea could continue to see the bulk of Dallas' point guard duties, since Devin Harris (knee) remains banged-up and Raymond Felton has received minimal action when available this season.
