The Cleveland Cavaliers will be without LeBron James as the team looks to match its season-best winning streak of eight games.

James has been ruled out for Wednesday's contest against the Portland Trail Blazers with a sprained right wrist, according to multiple sources

James stayed down briefly but remained in the contest and finished with 32 points, seven assists and six rebounds to lead the Cavaliers to their seventh consecutive victory.

Cleveland's hot stretch has coincided with the return of James, who missed two weeks at the beginning of the month with knee and back strains. James has powered the Cavaliers to a 7-1 record since his return, moving Cleveland to within 3.5 games of the Chicago Bulls for first place in the Central Division.

The Cavaliers are 1-8 without James in the lineup.

Portland sits third in the Western Conference and owns the second-best defensive rating in the game.

James is also considered doubtful for Friday's game against the Sacramento Kings, according to Jason Lloyd of the Akron Beacon Journal
