Lakers' Nick Young questionable Thursday due to ankle sprain

Los Angeles Lakers swingman Nick Young hasn't quite been able to get his post-Kobe game plan off the ground.

Young sprained his right ankle during Monday's practice, then sat out his team's 98-92 loss to the Washington Wizards on Tuesday, and now it's unclear if he'll be able to go Thursday night against the Chicago Bulls. 

He completed treadmill work during Wednesday's practice, and head coach Byron Scott isn't sure about his availability Thursday, according to Mark Medina of the L.A. Daily News. 

"Questionable," Scott said of Young's status. "Like everything regarding Nick Young, it’s questionable."

The comments come amid what seems like a growing rift between coach and player, with Scott repeatedly questioning Young's focus and commitment, and ultimately benching him for the entire second half Sunday, the last game Young appeared in.
