Report: Bucks interested in signing Jorge Gutierrez to 10-day deal

Noah K. Murray-USA TODAY Sports

The Milwaukee Bucks are interested in signing point guard Jorge Gutierrez to a 10-day contract, Marc Stein of ESPN reports.

The Bucks are likely looking to replace backup point guard Kendall Marshall, who's out for the year with a torn ACL. Marshall's absence has increased the playmaking burden on starter Brandon Knight.

Gutierrez was waived by the Philadelphia 76ers after being acquired from the Brooklyn Nets in December. Over the last month, Gutierrez has played in the D-League where he's averaged 15.2 points and six assists per game.

Gutierrez saw limited time as a third-string point guard for the Nets last season. He averaged 4.1 points, 1.5 rebounds and two assists in 16.3 minutes per game.
