Spurs' Parker ruled out Monday with hamstring strain

Soobum Im-USA TODAY Sports

The San Antonio Spurs will be without point guard Tony Parker for a sixth straight game when they take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Monday, the team announced.

Parker has been sidelined by a left hamstring strain, missing nine of San Antonio's last 10 games. The Spurs have been reeling without him, having lost a season-high four consecutive games.

Making Monday's game even more difficult against the 19-8 Clippers is the absence of small forward Kawhi Leonard, who's out with a bruised right hand. It was recently revealed that Leonard, set to miss his fourth straight game, suffered a torn ligament that won't require surgery.

Parker is averaging 16 points and 5.3 assists through 19 games. His next chance to return will be on Christmas Day against the Oklahoma City Thunder
