VIDEO: Garnett tries to bite Noah, Bulls still win to cap off strong roadtrip

The Chicago Bulls wrapped up their annual November road trip with a winning record, pasting the Brooklyn Nets 102-84 on Sunday.

The road trip takes place every season with the Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey taking up residence at United Center in Chicago, but this year's proved both longer and more arduous than in recent years. Dealing with myriad injuries throughout, the Bulls should be thrilled to emerge with a 4-3 record on the trip, pushing them to 11-6 overall.

Also worth celebrating is that Derrick Rose played in his fourth consecutive game and his second in a row in which he had no issues with his troublesome hamstring. Rose managed 26 minutes on the afternoon, scoring 14 points with six rebounds.

It was Jimmy Butler really doing the damage on Sunday, though, with the early-season breakout star putting up 26 points on just 12 field goal attempts. Pau Gasol added 25 points and 13 rebounds, and Joakim Noah added 10 boards and the Bulls leveraged a 16-rebound advantage against the stumbling Nets, who have now lost seven of their last nine.

Clearly, the Nets' struggles have become frustrating. At least, they have for the always-emotive Kevin Garnett, who tried to take a bite out of Noah during Sunday's game.

That's not weird at all, KG.

"Kevin Garnett tried to bite me, man," Noah said. "It's unbelievable. I don't even know what to say. I'm happy he didn't connect. ... I know it drives him crazy to lose like that so we just got to keep doing what we're doing. I'm not worried about Kevin Garnett."

Garnett said he wasn't actually trying to bite Noah and played up the matter jokingly after the game.

"I know how to bite somebody," Garnett said. "Obviously, I was messing around at that moment. Wasn't serious. I'm not worried about that. Shoutout to Mike Tyson."

Garnett had a fair outing with seven points, seven rebounds, three assists and three steals, but the team as a whole struggled to 37.2 percent shooting and hit just a pair of triples. The Nets' offense as a whole has struggled to start the year, and on Sunday it looked as if the Bulls' normally stout defense was rounding into form after a rocky start to the year.

Nearing full health as a team - only Taj Gibson remains sidelined - the Bulls return home for four of their next five games with a chance to make up some ground in their chase for the top of the Eastern Conference.
