Magic's Harris, Fournier to start vs. Warriors

Geoff Burke-USA TODAY Sports

The Orlando Magic received some good news prior to Wednesday's tip off versus the Golden State Warriors.

Both Tobias Harris, who missed two games with a calf strain, and Evan Fournier (quad) will start for the 6-10 Magic's home game against the Pacific Division-leading Warriors, according to Josh Robbins of the Orlando Sentinel.

The Magic are on a two-game losing skid and get the 11-2 Warriors, who are on the second night of a back-to-back. Golden State crushed the Miami Heat 114-97 on Tuesday to extend its winning streak to a season-high six games.

Having Harris and Fournier will greatly help Orlando's chances of getting back on track.

Harris is enjoying a strong start to the season, averaging career highs in a number of offensive categories, including points (18.8), minutes (36.6) and field goal percentage (46.9). The fifth-year forward is shooting a personal-best 41.2 percent from long range while also hauling in 8.4 rebounds, which is the second-highest mark on the Magic.

Fournier, meanwhile, has experienced similar success as he has taken on a much larger role in his third year in the league. The 22-year-old is averaging 16.5 points and shooting a career-best 45.5 percent from beyond the arc.
