Warriors rule out Lee for opener, Bogut ill but playing

So much for #FullSquad to start off the 2014-15 season.

The Golden State Warriors will have anything but a healthy unit when they open their season on Wednesday against the Sacramento Kings. David Lee, thought to be doubtful throughout the week with a hamstring strain, is officially out for the game, and his frontcourt mate Andrew Bogut is will be playing through an illness.

Offseason acquisition Shaun Livingston was also ruled out earlier in the day.

As a result, the Warriors and new head coach Steve Kerr could be left with a rotation that's a far cry from what they expected entering the year. Andre Iguodala has been moved to the bench, at least for now, to provide the second-unit ball-handling Livingston would have, Draymond Green is starting at power forward instead of playing the role of defensive super-sub and heavy minutes at center could fall on Ognjen Kuzmic, who has as scarcely more NBA experience than you do.

That's surely not how the Dubs wanted to open their year, but on the bright side, at least all of the issues are minor, short-term ones.
