Smart is under the weather and will not practice Friday, CSN Northeast's A. Sherrod Blakely reports.

Analysis:

This is the second consecutive practice he will miss with the illness, but it's unlikely he'll be too sick to take the court for the season opener next week. Meanwhile Rajon Rondo (hand) practiced Friday, and he remains questionable for the season opener. While Smart should be owned in most leagues based on his potential to be a dominant contributor in steals, his value is directly tied to Rondo, as Smart will be a much more effective fantasy player when he's playing point guard.
