Chris Humphreys / USA Today Sports

The problem with Denver Nuggets point guard Ty Lawson's ankle simply won't go away.

Several months after spraining his left ankle, Lawson remains hobbled. The injury prevented him from running until July, hindering his offseason training plan.

But the inconveniences don't end there. Lawson will intermittently wear a small brace on his ankle all season long, according to Christopher Dempsey of the Denver Post

Lawson is one of Denver's core players. He averaged 17.6 points and 8.8 assists per game last season, leading the Nuggets in both categories. However, if Lawson were to miss time due to injury, Denver has capable contingencies in Randy Foye and Nate Robinson, who can man the point in a pinch.
