Analysis:
Williams said Thursday that John Salmons, Luke Babbitt and Darius Miller are currently in competition for the starting small forward position. His words should be taken with a grain of salt, though, as the injured Evans seems like he'd garner at least some consideration to return to the starting lineup after a strong close to last season. While New Orleans would probably prefer to use Evans as a versatile scorer off the bench who can play three positions, Evans made it clear last season that he prefers to start.
