Anderson is under no medical restrictions, but he will be brought along slowly in camp and during the preseason, the Times-Picayune's John Reid reports. "I'm just glad he's out on the floor and he's happy," coach Monty Williams said. "You can tell he's got a different step about him this year. His mojo is in the right place."

Analysis:

He did agility drills, went through contact work and ran at full speed during Tuesday's practice, emerging without any issues. Given Anderson's clean bill of health, the more important issue surrounding the stretch four is how he will be used in the Pelicans' offense after the team acquired Omer Asik. Considering Anderson led the team in minutes per game (36.1) before he got hurt in 2013-14, it seems reasonable to expect Anderson, along with Anthony Davis, to lead the Pelicans' frontcourt in minutes, while Asik steps in as just a better version of Jason Smith, who saw 26.8 mpg last season. Given the unnecessary doubt surrounding Anderson's health and status on the team, he's an excellent bargain in fantasy leagues right now.
