McGee (leg) is fully ready to play as training camp begins, the Denver Post reports. "I'm real excited to play," McGee said. "I only played four or five games last season. It's a blessing to be back."

Analysis:

McGee missed all but five games last season due to a stress fracture in his left tibia. He had a rod inserted inserted into the leg, which should help prevent another fracture from developing. McGee also bulked up this season and reported to camp at 265 pounds, by far the heaviest playing weight of his career. He'll compete with Timofey Mozgov for the starting center spot throughout preseason. Mozgov started 30 games after McGee went down last season, but McGee started all five games in which he appeared.
