Andre Iguodala: (Knee) PRP Injection During Offseason
Iguodala underwent a platelet-rich plasma injection in his right knee during the offseason, the San Francisco Chronicle reports. "It was nothing too invasive, but I was really able to take some time off," he said. "My rehab team was amazing. They really got me back to where I wanted to be, maybe even a little better."
Analysis:
Both Iguodala and teammate David Lee were slated to join Team USA's preparation for the FIBA World Cup, but one week before training camp was set to begin in early July, the duo opted to focus on their health rather than risk further injury. During Monday's media day, Iguodala relayed that he's been playing pickup games devoid of pain for a couple of weeks, meaning he'll likely be unhinged as training camp opens.
