Kobe Bryant: (Knee) Fully Cleared
Bryant (knee) has been fully cleared for training camp, the Lakers' official site reports.
Analysis:
Namely, Bryant can participate in 5-on-5 scrimmages, an important development that has more or less been hinted at since May by everyone from the 18-year veteran to general manager Mitch Kupchak. In early September, Bryant embarked upon another trip to Germany in order to undergo Orthokine treatment on his right knee, which has previously aided in keeping an aggravation of injury at bay. However, a minutes restriction is expected, at least initially, in order to manage the tibial plateau in his left knee, which combined with his recovery from a torn left Achilles to keep him off the court for all but six games last season.
