Kevin Durant says he and Lil' B are now 'cool' but doesn't sound sincere
After coming up short in the playoffs for a fifth consecutive season, the last two of which saw key teammates suffer injuries, it appears there may be something to #TheBasedGodsCurse.
The curse, of course, came from Lil' B, who cursed Kevin Durant after Durant allegedly called Lil' B a 'wack rapper' back in 2011. The Based God has promised that Durant will never win an NBA championship, even dropping a profane diss track about Durant and suggesting he could beat the reigning NBA Most Valuable Player in a game of one-on-one.
At the launch party for NBA 2K15 this week, Durant was asked about Lil' B, and whether he believes the curse is real. Durant tried his best to give a #Based answer:
A curse? I keep hearing it, every time I sign on to Twitter or Instagram, there's this Lil' B stuff coming up. I don't have no problem with Lil' B.
He's got so many fans, it's like, it's starting to get on my nerves. Just to get them people away from me, me and Lil' B are cool.
Well, that sure doesn't sound sincere. Durant clearly hasn't learned his lesson, so we'll see if the curse continues.
