Wizards sign Silas to training camp deal

Free agent guard Xavier Silas will get another shot at making the Washington Wizards this season, after signing a training camp contract on Monday. Silas was the last player cut from Wizards' camp a year ago and continued to work out in the team's practice facility this summer.
The 6-foot-5 guard made two appearances with the Philadelphia 76ers in 2011-12, averaging 5.5 points and two rebounds in 19.5 minutes per game.
The 26-year old was undrafted out of Northern Illinois.
