Rajon Rondo: Has Told Celtics He Would Like To Be Traded

Rondo has told the Celtics that he would like to be traded, ESPN reports.

This report came from a youtube clip of an off-camera moment on Around the Horn when panelist Jackie MacMullan was candidly talking with Frank Isola. MacMullan went on to say that Rondo has also told the Sacramento Kings, the one team that has been consistently mentioned as having interest in him, that he would never re-sign with them, leaving few common-sense options available as possible trade destinations for Rondo. The Celtics drafted Marcus Smart with the No. 6 pick in the offseason's 2014 NBA Draft, so it seems logical that the team would entertain trading Rondo, but there simply doesn't seem to be much urgency from the Celtics to trade him.
