Serge Ibaka to miss game vs. Iran due to a sore hamstring

Team Spain will be without its main shot-blocking presence on the opening day of the FIBA World Cup.

Hopefully the issue isn't a persistent one for Ibaka. Not only does he provide shot-blocking, Ibaka is also a devastating force in the pick-and-roll, and helps mask the Spain's weak perimeter defenders.

Spain is slated to take on the heavily overmatched team from Iran on Saturday, and with both Pau and Marc Gasol in the tournament, Spain should have no trouble making up for Ibaka's absence. Their worry should be the schedule, which calls for Spain to play four more games in the next five days.
