Henderson will push for playing time on the wing in 2014-15, the Charlotte Observer reports. Regarding the Hornets' crowded backcourt, he said, "I'm going to play the same game and be as effective as I can, in whatever time I get."

Analysis:

The Hornets made a splash in free agency this summer, inking Lance Stephenson to a three-year deal. He'll supplant Henderson as the starting shooting guard, but Stephenson's size (6-6, 227) and versatility will allow him to slot in at small forward as well. As a result, Henderson isn't expected to approach the 30-plus minutes per game that he garnered as a starter the last three seasons, especially with Gary Neal in the two-guard rotation. However, Henderson should retain some value in the upcoming campaign due to his scoring ability.
