After four seasons of inconsistent playing time, Ed Davis is reportedly heading to a franchise where he should receive no shortage of minutes.

The deal is reportedly worth $2 million and includes a player option on the 2015-16 season.

Davis, who was selected 13th overall in the 2010 NBA Draft, spent his first two-and-a-half seasons coming off the bench for the Toronto Raptors, during which time he averaged 7.7 points and 6.8 rebounds over 24.0 minutes. Upon finding himself on the fringes of the Raptors' rotation into the 2012-13 season, he was traded to the Memphis Grizzlies, where his minutes took an even bigger hit.

But despite the limited minutes, Davis' defense has consistently been applauded within NBA circles, and his player efficiency rating, which has been above average the past two seasons, suggests he deserves far more playing time than he's received.
