Gibson was moving his way up the pecking order in the Bulls' front court and by the end of last season he was playing in the fourth quarter instead of Carlos Boozer. The Bulls were expected to part ways with Boozer this summer and move Gibson into the starting lineup. While the Bulls will still be cutting ties with Boozer, the addition of Gasol will keep Gibson as a member of the bench. Gibson averaged 13.0 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.4 blocks a game last season, but he might see his production dip a little next year as Gasol is likely to see more playing time than Boozer did.
