The Sacramento Kings have replaced one small point guard with another.

In a press release, the Kings announced their signing of point guard Darren Collison. The terms of the contract were not disclosed, but it's believed his deal is for three-years at $16 million in total.

Kings general manager Pete D'Alessandro further elaborated:

Adding Darren provides veteran leadership in our backcourt. His speed and quickness will undoubtedly increase our pace and he plays sound defense every night. We’re excited to have him join the team

Collison steps into a role departed by Isaiah Thomas, who agreed to a deal with the Phoenix Suns.
