The Toronto Raptors officially re-signed point guard Kyle Lowry on Thursday.

Team president and general manager Masai Ujiri made the announcement alongside Lowry in Toronto.

“For us to have a fighter, a bull-dog, a leader. Somebody that went through growing pains,” Ujiri said during the conference. “To stand up as a man and make a decision, one day after free agency started, says a whole lot about this person who sits beside me.”

Lowry's deal is worth a reported $48 million over four years.

The 28-year-old also revealed he talked to teammate DeMar DeRozan "every day" throughout the free agency process, and praised the Toronto club.

"This organization, from top to bottom is an unbelievable organization," he said. "And I wanted to be a part of that."
