The Brooklyn Nets, Cleveland Cavaliers, and Boston Celtics made their three-way trade official on Thursday.

General manager Billy King announced the deal, praising the newest piece to Brooklyn's 2014-15 squad.

"Jarrett [Jack] is a proven NBA veteran who will add versatility to our backcourt," King said in a team release. "The team had a need in that area and we are excited that we were able to secure Jarrett to fill that role."

In the deal, the Nets acquired Jack and forward Sergey Karasev from the Cleveland Cavaliers. To complete the deal, Brooklyn will send guard Marcus Thornton to the Boston Celtics, along with the draft rights to Ilkan Karaman, Christian Drejer and Edin Bavcic to Cleveland.

Boston also receives Tyler Zeller and a first round draft pick from the Cavs, and sends a conditional second round pick back to Cleveland.
