Batum is focusing on developing a post game this summer, NBA.com reports.

Analysis:

Batum is coming off of arguably his best NBA season, during which he averaged 13.0 points and career-highs in rebounds (7.5) and assists (5.1). He's one of the better two-way small forwards in the league, and adding an interior element to his game would make him even more dangerous for a Portland team that leans heavily on LaMarcus Aldridge and Damian Lillard for scoring. Batum shot an excellent 75.3 percent at the rim last season on 215 attempts but took more than 600 shots from 16 feet and beyond. If he becomes a better post player, he could look to shift away from drifting on the perimeter in favor of bodying up smaller forwards.
