Garnett stands a good chance of returning to the Nets for his 20th NBA season next year, the New York Post reports.

Analysis:

Garnett's production in 2013-2014 was arguably the worst of his entire career. He gave the Nets only 20.5 minutes on the court per game and was only able to hit the hardwood for 54 contests over the course of the season. It's hard to imagine the 38-year-old improving on his disappointing numbers as a return next season will be more of a money grab than anything, seeing that he stands to make $12 million in 2014-2015. The return of Brook Lopez (ankle) also spells trouble for Garnett's fantasy viability. In fact, a move to the bench doesn't seem too far fetched, especially since the veteran's production was consistently minimal this season.
