Analysis:

Gay can become an unrestricted free agent by opting out of his contract that is due to pay him $19.3 million next season. Even if he decides to opt out, the Kings appear that they will try to keep him. Between the Raptors and the Kings, Gay finished with 20 points, 6 rebounds and 2.0 assists per game. Many of his numbers increased when he was with the Kings especially his overall shooting percentage. While with the Kings he shot 48 percentage as opposed to 39 percent with Toronto.
