Bayless (knee) will stay in Boston to undergo an MRI, A. Sherrod Blakely of CSN New England reports.

Analysis:

Bayless suffered a right knee sprain during Friday's game against the Bobcats, and will have it examined just to make sure the issue isn't any more severe than that. The Celtics haven't ruled out the possibility of Bayless joining the team in Cleveland for Saturday's game, but at this stage of the season, it seems more likely that the team would just let him rest even if his MRI results prove encouraging. Bayless had a nice two-game run as a starter earlier this month but has since returned to the bench with Avery Bradley coming back from injury.
