Brook Lopez also underwent successful ankle surgery earlier this month

Another day, another surgical procedure for Brook Lopez.

Brooklyn Nets general manager Billy King announced on Friday that Lopez underwent successful surgery on March 3 to repair a partial tear in his left ankle.

Lopez sprained the ankle twice this season and had been willing to "tough it out" until suffering a broken bone in his right foot on Dec. 20 that ended his season and required separate surgery in January. It was Lopez' fourth procedure on his right foot since initially breaking it in the 2011-12 preseason.

According to ESPN, the 7-foot center will be forced to wear a removable cast on his left ankle for at least three weeks, while the boot he's wearing on his right foot will be removed in about one-and-a-half weeks.

Yes, Lopez is a mess at the moment, but the ankle surgery is not expected to interfere with his recovery from foot surgery, and the Nets anticipate he'll be back on the court by June.
