Knicks sign Shannon Brown for remainder of season in Phil Jackson's first move as president

Phil Jackson's first move as president of the New York Knicks is the signing of a two-time NBA champion for the remainder of the season.

Brown, who completed two 10-day contracts with the Knicks, has averaged 1.8 points over 6.3 minutes in nine games with his new team. Prior to joining New York, Brown had completed two other 10-day contracts with the San Antonio Spurs.

Keeping Brown as opposed to Clark makes sense for the Knicks as their perimeter has been seriously lacking in depth throughout the season. The team's frontcourt is staying healthy as they push for a playoff spot, and Clark was kept on the bench for the Knicks' 92-86 win over the Indiana Pacers on Wednesday night.
