Jazz's Jefferson gives both shoes to a fan after his 17-point night
Veteran forward Richard Jefferson had a big night in the Utah Jazz's 23-point win over the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.
In 25 minutes, the 33-year-old recorded a game-high 17 points; he went 6-of-8 from the field, knocked down two 3-pointers, and was 3-of-4 from the free throw line. Jefferson threw down three dunks in the first half, and the grateful home crowd gave the team a standing ovation at the buzzer.
Utah's sideline reporter joked that the 13-season vet would need to get some ice on his knees.
"My knees are fine ... I got a little bit of bounce," Jefferson said. "Not like when I was 24, but a little bit."
Either way, Jefferson headed into the locker room with no shoes on after handing a Jazz fan his sneakers.
