Lamar Odom: Role Increasing

Odom (eye) has increased his role in the offense since the break, the LA Daily News reports. After racking up 18 points Saturday, coach Vinny Del Negro said, "He's physically feeling better, but we need him to be more aggressive like that. It doesn't mean he's always going to get 18 points or shoot that high a percentage, but the threat of him doing that changes everything for us when he's that aggressive."

Over the past three games, Odom has averaged 9.3 points (on 50 percent shooting), 5.7 rebounds, 1.7 assists, 1.3 three-pointers, and one block in 20 minutes. He is clearly comfortable now that he's back in Southern California, and his unselfish style is welcome on such a deep bench. Going forward, Odom may find it difficult to sustain his current workload, but his performance of late warrants decent run in the rotation and a roster spot in deeper league formats.
