Mavericks' J.J. Barea: Nearly double-doubles Tuesday

Barea recorded 13 points (5-14 FG, 3-8 3Pt), nine assists, four rebounds and two steals across 27 minutes during a 109-91 loss to the Nuggets on Tuesday.

Analysis:

Barea got the start with the team holding players out and fell just one assist shy of what would have been his first double-double of the season. It wasn't an efficient display, but over his career he has shown that he can put some numbers up when give a decent workload. Considering the team has nothing to play for in its final regular season game on Wednesday, Barea could see a similar workload in that one.
