Rockets' Ryan Anderson: Doubtful Wednesday vs. Nuggets

Anderson (ankle) is listed as doubtful for Wednesday's game against the Nuggets.

Analysis:

Anderson has been sidelined for a week and a half with the right ankle sprain, and it appears he still hasn't quite recovered from the injury, though his upgrade from "out" to "doubtful" at least implies progress on some level. The Rockets are short on depth at power forward at the moment with Anderson likely to sit Wednesday and Sam Dekker (hand) on track to miss the next three-to-four weeks, so the team could be forced to lean on Trevor Ariza heavily, assuming that the veteran will rejoin Houston in time for the contest. Undrafted rookies Troy Williams and Kyle Wiljter could be asked to play spot minutes behind Ariza at power forward, while center Montrezl Harrell could also see some run off the bench at the other frontcourt position.
