Nuggets' Will Barton: Out Tuesday vs. Pelicans

Barton (foot) will sit out Tuesday's game against the Pelicans, Chris Dempsey of Altitude Sports reports.

Analysis:

Barton will miss his third straight contest due to left foot soreness. He said after the team's shootaround that he was "making good progress" in his recovery, so Barton could have a shot at playing in the second half of the Nuggets' back-to-back set Wednesday against the Rockets. Once he's cleared to play again, Barton will likely settle into a 20-to-25-minute role off the bench.
