Nuggets' Emmanuel Mudiay: Produces in expanded role Sunday

Mudiay scored 17 points (4-9 FG, 9-10 FT) to go along with nine rebounds and four assists during Sunday's 116-113 win over the Heat.

Analysis:

Despite having not played in a week, Mudiay saw an expended role with Jameer Nelson (calf) sidelined and was quite effective in the narrow victory. Nelson should not be out for too much longer, which will cut significantly into Mudiay's time on the court, but after showing he can still lead the team despite falling out of favor, perhaps he has earned himself a role of some sort as the regular season winds down.
