Nuggets' Jameer Nelson: Hot from beyond the arc Thursday

Nelson notched 16 points (4-8 FG, 3-4 3Pt, 5-5 FT), five assists, two steals and one rebound across 34 minutes during Thursday's 129-114 victory over the Clippers.

Analysis:

Nelson has been crucial to the Nuggets success on offense in the 11 games since the All-Star break, providing 9.1 points on 50.0 percent from the field and 40.5 percent from three, 4.9 assists, 2.5 rebounds, and 1.2 steals across 29.4 minutes per game. With Nikola Jokic taking over the bulk of the distribution duties this season, Nelson is free to hang around the perimeter and knock down easy jumpers, leading him to his best three-point percentage (38.7) since 2010-11 with the Magic when he shot 40.1 percent from beyond the arc. While he isn't an elite fantasy option at guard, he's a strong three-point contributor, and boasts only 1.7 turnovers in addition to his 5.0 assists per game.
