Celtics' Gerald Green: Doesn't play Friday in coach's decision

Green (coach's decision) didn't see the floor in Friday's 115-95 win over the Lakers.

Analysis:

Though Green was available following a four-game absence due to a bruised heel, the Celtics held a 25-point lead at halftime, which prompted coach Brad Stevens to lean more heavily on younger reserves like Jaylen Brown (23 minutes), James Young (12 minutes) and Terry Rozier (12 minutes) at Green's expense. It appears that the 31-year-old's layoff due to the injury may have pushed him out of the rotation for the time being.
