The Cleveland Cavaliers made it official on Thursday, signing Andrew Bogut for the remainder of the season.

Bogut was waived by the Sixers on Monday after he was acquired by Philadelphia just prior to last week's trade deadline.

The 7-foot big man appeared in 26 games for the Dallas Mavericks this season, averaging three points, 8.3 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and one block on 46.9 percent shooting. Bogut will give the Cavaliers some added playoff experience, having reached The Finals in each of the last two years with the Golden State Warriors.

Cleveland has been active on the free-agent market this week, signing veteran point guard Deron Williams to a deal on Monday.

The Cavaliers waived second-year player Jordan McRae earlier this week in order to make room for the Australian center.
