Knicks' Joakim Noah: Likely out for season following knee surgery
Noah (hamstring) is likely to miss the rest of the season after undergoing arthroscopic knee surgery, Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports reports.
Analysis:
Noah has missed the last seven games with a strained left hamstring, but it looks like a previously undisclosed knee issue is the main culprit for the big man, who is expected to see his season come to a premature end for the second year in a row. He appeared and started in 46 games in his first season with the Knicks, averaging 5.0 points and 8.7 rebounds over 22.1 minutes per game, but struggled to hold off Willy Hernangomez and Kyle O'Quinn for playing time. Those two big men will now likely be on track to absorb the bulk of the minutes at center the rest of the way.
