Raptors' P.J. Tucker: Near double-double in Raptors debut Friday vs. Celtics

Tucker finished with nine points (2-5 FG, 1-1 3Pt, 4-6 FT), 10 rebounds, three steals, and one assist across 29 minutes during Friday's 107-97 victory over the Celtics.

Analysis:

Tucker's ability to play both forward positions and be effective on the defensive side of the ball was the driving motive for the Raptors when they traded for him at the deadline. He showed the front office that they made the right decision, pulling down 10 rebounds and picking three pockets in his 29-minute return to the team that drafted him in the second round in 2006. He'll look to build upon his strong performance Sunday when the Raptors take on the Trail Blazers.
