76ers' Andrew Bogut: Will miss a week for personal reasons
Bogut will be away from the 76ers for at least a week while tending to personal issues, Keith Pompey of the Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
Analysis:
The 76ers acquired Bogut along with Justin Anderson and a protected 2017 first-round draft pick from the Mavericks in exchange for Nerlens Noel prior to Thursday's trade deadline, but Anderson and the draft pick are considered the real assets for Philadelphia. As a 32-year-old center on an expiring contract, Bogut doesn't have much value to a rebuilding 76ers squad, so it's expected that he'll be waived without ever suiting up for the team. If Bogut is indeed let go, a number of contending clubs would likely have interest in him as a backup center who can protect the rim.
